Fun House of Mazes and Mirrors

I'm a youth minister, living on the Earth--more specifically, Staten Island, NY. I love ideas. I love to think about things that I've never thought about before. I like to think of the world as a giant kaleidescope that can be turned a couple of times, and all of a sudden, there is something new and beautiful.

I also love Jesus. I love helping people, and I love living a life of love.

I think the most beautiful thing about life is our imagination--our ability to dream. We all have dreams, and it's such a shame to give up on them. If anything, I think that's what God loves to do most of all--allow us to dream BIG, and then show us that it's not too BIG.

I want to leave the world a better place than I found it. Is that too much to ask for? I want to belong. Isn't that what we all want? I want to throw around ideas about anything and everything, because at the end of the day we are not THAT different--and yet, we are completely unique.

Hmmm…
1.  I talk to my cat as if he is a puppy. I literally call him “puppy” sometimes.
2.  I have had two major knee surgeries, in the same knee.
3.  My little toe on my right foot is crooked. It’s like sideways.
4.  My favorite color is red, but that’s because when I was a kid, I told my older brother that my favorite color was purple, to which he retorted that I couldn’t have that as my favorite color, since it is a girl color.
5.  I am a die-hard Alabama Crimson Tide fan, and Jaguar fan. By that, I mean, I don’t like people talking to me during plays, and I don’t like to talk to people after they lose.
6.  I tell the same stories over and over and over again. All of my friends have heard my favorite stories at least 10 times. 
7. I have a book addiction. I start to read a book, get about half way through, and then buy 3 more… It’s terrible. And what’s worse—I have an Amazon Store Credit Card, and and Amazon Rewards Visa Card…. it is quite awful. (I bought a book today)
8. My favorite animal is an Elephant. I even have a large stuffed elephant in my room that I’ve had since childhood. His name is Flelophent.
9. I want to plant churches all over the world. I want to have orphanages in Africa, and a strategy to see my church plants multiply to 500 churches during my life time… I’m definitely a dreamer.  :P
10. I laugh sometimes when nothing funny is going on. I literally break into spontaneous laughter, at which point people give me odd looks, which makes me laugh a bit harder.

And such is life. :)
