Its the final day of the first month of 2012—we’ve already made it approximately 1/12 of the way through this year.
So, I just want to ask: where are you? How has this year gone so far? Are you where you expected to be? Are you where you wanted to be, when we hit the new year? Have you already given up on your New Years resolutions? Are you holding strong to any new commitments?
It’s good to check in on yourself once in a while, and evaluate where you are. I am doing that this morning, in reflection.
I’m thanking God for those things I’ve held on to—the things that I committed to do, which I have stayed true to… and praying for strength with the things I’ve neglected or lost sight of.
Without reflection, you can get swept away by time—and that’s how you find yourself in December, wanting to do the same things in the New Year that you wanted in the old year. Don’t let it happen again.
Take some time reflecting, evaluation, and glorifying God, today, in the last day of the first month. Next year’s “you” will be glad you did!
Peace and love, friends.
